It was the gift of a simple origami kit that sparked the interest of Palm Harbor, Florida artist Andrea Stearman. After discovering she had an affinity for precision of origami, she decided to showcase the beauty of the designs and papers by presenting them as framed art pieces.

Andrea has been creating her origami art for nearly 17 years. She has studied with origami master Michael G. LaFosse, and has an extensive library of origami books and patterns. She obtains most of her beautiful chiyogami paper from a tiny shop in Honolulu that imports directly from Japan.

She credits her success to nimble fingers, plenty of practice, and an artist’s eye for combining patterns and colors.

Member, Creative Artists Guild and Dunedin Fine Art Center. As all our exhibiting artists do, Andrea will donate 20% of sales back to FWP.  Thank you Andrea!

their sales back to the Playhouse for special projects.
