This lost comedy by Mark Twain made its’ Broadway debut in 2007, adapted by award winning playwright David Ives. A penniless painter must fake his demise and disguise himself as his identical twin sister in order to find success in 1840’s Paris. Variety called “Is He Dead? “ an “elaborate madcap comedy that reaches especially high comic heights”.
